  14. Will the USR Courier modems give me significantly better FAX performance 
  15. (particularly overseas) than the Sportsters?

  19. I know they are supposed to be excellent data modems, but I don't know 
  20. if this translates into excellent FAX performance as well.  I have a 
  21. bunch of USR Sportsters, and their FAX performance isn't very good 
  22. (though I must admit, I am comparing  them to dedicated FAX machines).  
  23. My main problem is dropped lines and failed negotiations on overseas 
  24. FAXing.

  26. Price is less important to me than getting reliable FAX performance, but 
  27. I don't want to shell out the big bucks for a Courier and then find that 
  28. it isn't really any better than the Sportster.  I'm also open to 
  29. suggestions regarding other brands.  Ideally, I would find a V34 
  30. Data/Fax/Voice modem with excellent FAX capability and a Flash BIOS that 
  31. I could replace all my modems with.
