- Will the USR Courier modems give me significantly better FAX performance
- (particularly overseas) than the Sportsters?
-
-
- Details:
- I know they are supposed to be excellent data modems, but I don't know
- if this translates into excellent FAX performance as well. I have a
- bunch of USR Sportsters, and their FAX performance isn't very good
- (though I must admit, I am comparing them to dedicated FAX machines).
- My main problem is dropped lines and failed negotiations on overseas
- FAXing.
-
- Price is less important to me than getting reliable FAX performance, but
- I don't want to shell out the big bucks for a Courier and then find that
- it isn't really any better than the Sportster. I'm also open to
- suggestions regarding other brands. Ideally, I would find a V34
- Data/Fax/Voice modem with excellent FAX capability and a Flash BIOS that
- I could replace all my modems with.
-
- Any Advice is Appreciated,
-
- Tom
